Reading from Wednesday, November 27, 2013 yoga class
Sara Wiseman from her book "Living a life of gratitude" writes about a study that found that sponge molds make a sound, that if magnified a million times, is audible to the human ear...and that this energy...this vibration... sounds like whales singing. She goes on to say:
"It must be imagined that other objects also emit energy. The pillow you sleep on...a blanket swaddled around a newborn baby...a flower held in a vase of water.
Perhaps everything sounds like whales singing. Perhaps everything has its own beautiful and recognizable song, if you are only able to hear it. When we understand that sponge mold and whale song, our own hum and whistle in this life are continually playing, a kind of white noise for the soul, we begin to awaken to the idea of the vast and limitless energy of the Universe, and our own connection to it.
We aren't just singing. We are part of the song. All of us together, in Divine symphony, each with our own note and tone and rhythm. It isn't just humans in the living chorus, but everything: every rock or tree or company or idea or Universe or whale or sponge mold has parts too. One big, endless, and eternal song."
So... what we do, what we think, what we say ALL matters to the whole.
