Reading from Tuesday, June 24, 2014 yoga class
I had a yoga nidra scheduled on Sunday, June 23, 2014 from 3-4pm at the studio. Nobody came. :(
So... if any of you out there that read this blog have suggestions as to a better time to schedule this, I would welcome your thoughts. Out of everything that I do, giving yoga nidra's is at the top of my list. I want to share this with everyone. It is a powerful practice which requires you to lie on your back and let me tuck you in, drop hearts of love in your hands, and cover your eyes. All you have to do is be still and listen and let me guide you. Two doors of perception are open... hearing and feeling.
Maybe the term "yoga nidra" scares people away. Nidra means sleep, but we are not sleeping. We are in that place between being awake and sleep...like right before you fall asleep...that place. That place is a very healing, feeling kind of place where there is much wisdom and knowledge if you are willing to listen and feel.
A quote from Rumi:
Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.
