The gift of each other

Reading from Tuesday, July 15, 2014 yoga class

From the book "Nourishing the teacher" by Danny Arguetty

"When geese fly together, they essentially form a traveling community.  As one goose tires of leading, it maneuvers its way to the rear of the flock where it finds support from the draft of those ahead.  The same phenomenon occurs when we as individuals lead our lives in the context of community.  Just like the geese, we uplift one another to shine more brightly.  By opening to our own inner light in tandem with other who are doing the same, we generate a potent wake that can have tremendous influence on the world around us.  Yoga offers us the tools to engage in personal inquiry through dedicated action of body and mind but also to deepen this through mindful interaction with those around us."
