Still here

Reading from Tuesday, November 11, 2014 yoga class

I haven't posted since October 21st.  Susan Craig taught my class on 10/28/14 because I was babysitting my grandkids.  Thank you Susan!!

I don't remember what my reading was for November 4th... I think I may have gone off on a tangent.  :)

The following is something I have heard my teacher talk about in class, so I thought I would share it.

"Are you familiar with the saying about getting up on the wrong side of the bed and starting off on the right foot.  They are based on the notion that a person feels more balanced, more stable, when both sides of the nose are functioning approximately equally.  When you first awake, you may notice that one side of your nose is more stopped up than the other.  Before you stand up, notice which side is clear and put that foot down first, resting most of your weight for a few seconds on that side.  For example, if your right side is stuffed up, put your weight down first on your left foot.  The stuffed-up (right) side will clear up in a matter of minutes as you start moving around."

From the book, The American Yoga Association's Beginners Manual by Alice Christensen

And... the following is a poem that my friend, Becky, sent to me.  A wonderful, wonderful poem.

There are universes dancing inside of your body
There are sunsets shining in your heart
There are symphonies playing in your toes

There is a full moon beaming in your belly button

There is a cool breeze blowing in your lungs
There is a gentle rain that falls from your eyes
There is an army of love in every step
There is love making in your every motion
A body of devotion
The miracle is you

Realize
Visualize
It is all inside
The galaxy of amazement

If you should ever forget, just close your eyes
and listen to the music deep inside

The miracle is YOU!!!
