Being Thankful

Reading from December 12, 2012 yoga class

Every time I am in Louisville, I always pick up a free magazine called "Underwired" and turn to the back page which is always inspirational to me.  December's page was especially good.  The theme was saying thank you!!  Here are some of the quotes from the page:

"You have a gift of 86,400 seconds today... have you used one to say thank you?"  For example:
                               A warm bath
                               Clean sheet day
National Cookie Day and I only ate one
                               A beautiful pink sunset
Someone held door open for me
Hot tea, a scone, a good book
Homemade soup, corn muffin...need I say more
Saw a beautiful turquoise bird on my walk
Could see the stars in the city sky tonight...that bright one is Jupiter
Found lost earring in floor register

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them"

"Even a small star shines in the darkness"

"Those who bring sunshine to others cannot keep it from selves"  J. M. Barrie

"Don't underestimate the value of doing nothing, of just going along listening to all the things you can't hear and not bother"  Winnie the Pooh

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world"  Anne Frank

"Give yourself time each day to say thank you for one little thing"

"There are hundreds of languages in the world but a smile speaks them all"

"When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around"  Willie Nelson

"The way in not in the sky.  The way is in the heart"   Buddha

"Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, won, or consumed.  Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude"

My heart is full of gratitude for SO much.  Thank you to all of you who continue to come to class.  I am humbled and honored.
