Universal Winks

I subscribe to a blog called the Om Place Newsletter.  I attended a class there one time out in the middle of nowhere in Winchester Kentucky.  A lovely studio with a fantastic yoga teacher, Erin Smith.  In this particular entry from her newsletter she is talking about the "Law of Attraction." Basically it is positive attracts positive, negative attracts negative.  The field of epigentics refers to the science that studies how the development, functioning and evolution of living things are influenced by forces operating outside the DNA sequence which include environmental and energetic influences such as where we live, what we eat, how we exercise, what our passions and hobbies are and WHAT WE THINK.

Erin goes on to say:

"A 2002 study looked at surgery for patients with debilitating knee pain.  The patients were divided into three groups.  The surgeons shaved the damaged cartilage in the knee of one group, and flushed the knee joint in another, removing all the inflammatory material.  Both of these processes are standard surgeries for arthritic knees.  In the third group, the patients were sedated and told that they had surgery, when in fact they had nothing done to their knee...the doctors made the incisions and splashed salt water on the knee as they would in normal surgery. They sewed up the incisions so it looked like a knee that actually had surgery.  All three groups went through the same physical therapy process and the results were astonishing.  The placebo group improved just as much as the other two groups that had surgery. Their knee pain was drastically reduced because they BELIEVED the "surgery" went well!!!

Ever been thinking about an old friend and then they call you out of the blue?  Or maybe you are humming a song and it comes on the radio?  Or you check the clock to find that it is 5:55 or 11:11.  You probably think these moments are simple coincidences, right.  I call these moments of synchronicity "UNIVERSAL WINKS."  I believe serendipity is just the Universe reminding us we are on the right path!!!!  Each moment of our lives offers us the opportunity to connect larger meaning in our lives.  We make our luck through our thoughts."
